Morelli publishes on “translational ecology”

Toni Lyn Morelli, Environmental Conservation and the Northeast Climate Science Center, contributed to three research articles and a commentary in a special issue of Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment focused on the new field of “translational ecology.” Morelli explains that in this approach, ecologists seek to solve the communication gap between those who conduct relevant research and publish in peer-reviewed literature, and decision-makers who actually direct environmental management and policy, with the goal of increasing the likelihood that research will contribute to direct action.
