Sustainable EweMass: The Past, Present and Future of UMass Amherst Explored

Friday, September 23, 2022: 10:00am to Saturday, September 24, 2022: 3:00pm
UMass Renaissance Center Meadow

Sustainable EweMass is an opportunity for students, faculty, and the community to collectively explore the multiple dimensions of land management and animal husbandry, their environmental and social impacts, and issues of social justice, community and access to the natural world. Through outdoor grazing events, experiential coursework, independent studies, research, and community collaboration, Sustainable EweMass aims to engage our community in conversations about our shared green spaces on campus.

On September 23 and 24 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, a small flock of sheep from the Hadley Farm will be coming to the UMass Amherst campus as part of a student-led, participatory reimagining of our campus land, how it’s used and valued, and toward what ends. We invite you to join us!
