Assistant Director for Career Planning
Erin has eight years of experience working in higher education and career services, assisting students ranging from community college to the master’s level. Most recently she was the Assistant Director for Career Planning at the School of Public Health and Health Sciences for the 2018-2019 academic year. She also spent five years working with pre-health students and alumni at Amherst College, where she guided students through the professional school application process and held mock interviews. Erin has also previously worked as both a Business Analyst and Autism Therapist – so she understands non-linear career paths and is eager to help students navigate multiple interests and goals.
Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University (Ohio) and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Harvard University, both in Psychology. A native Midwesterner, Erin spent four years living in the Boston area, working full-time while attending evening classes for her master’s degree. She then settled in western Massachusetts, where she now enjoys exploring the Pioneer Valley, watching hockey and football, spending time with her family (including 3 active school-age children), and relaxing with a good book – new recommendations always welcome!
