Chris Joyner ’96
Greenhouse Superintendent

Chris is a graduate of the former Plant and Soil Sciences department, where he received his BS in Floriculture. He began his career in the greenhouses as a weekend waterer for the department when he was a student. In 1996, Chris became the assistant manager of the greenhouses and in 2005 was chosen as greenhouse manager. Since the merger of two of the universities colleges, CNS became the custodial party for all of the greenhouses which included the Durfee Conservatory, the Morrill Greenhouse that houses an outstanding collection of exotic and unusual plants as well as the state of the art CNS Research and Education greenhouses. Chris’ current position is superintendent of all CNS greenhouses, managing the day to day operations of the Research and Education greenhouses as well as overseeing the Morrill Greenhouses and the Durfee Conservatory.
