Financial Aid Information
- Are you receiving financial aid for the current academic year? Yes or No
- Amount (in dollars) you have personally contributed toward educational expenses (both from personal savings and current income) for the current academic year.
- Amount (in dollars) received in Educational Loans for the current academic year.
- Amount (in dollars) received in Grants/Waivers for the current academic year.
- Total debt (in dollars) from educational expenses. Include all years in college.
- Did you file the FAFSA for the upcoming academic year? Yes or No. If not, explain why.
Short Answer Questions
Your response to each of the following short answer questions should be no more than 250 words or 1800 characters, including spaces.
- Describe your involvement in research, including internships.
- Describe your involvement in extra curricular activities at UMass Amherst.
- Describe your involvement in community service.
- For the Marions Mahoney scholarship: describe your serious interest in teaching mathematics or science, and future teaching plans.
- If desired, please include a brief description of financial need or academic hardship.
- In order to be considered, you MUST describe your specific eligibility for each of the scholarships you selected.
- Sherwood-Delaney applicants must include a 250 word statement describing how a UMass Amherst education will enable them to contribute to science in the United States. Winning applicants' essays will be shared with the donors.
