Vierling, team suggest evolutionary change in protein function respects biophysical principles
Elizabeth Vierling, Indu Santhanagoplan, and Eman Basha, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, along with collaborators, have published a study in Science about the evolution of small heat shock proteins (HSPs). In studying the assembly and evolution of these small HSPs, they looked beyond the compatibility of the two proteins and considered a number of other physical principles. Read more.
