Startups by two CNS students win Grinspoon Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards

Elvan Cavac, doctoral candidate in Chemistry, and Austin Rohlfing, undergraduate in Mathematics & Statistics, were presented with Grinspoon Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards on April 25. Cavac’s startup, Pickmeup Snacks, uses cricket protein to create healthy and sustainable treats. Rohlfing’s startup, TernBooking, will participate in Berthiaume’s 2018 Summer Accelerator program. TernBooking, which combines travel accommodations with savings and budgeting for trips, was created by Austin Rohlfing (actuarial mathematics), Paul Maurais (computer science), Noah Friedman (finance) and Sepehr Sokhanvar (computer science). Both startups have competed in three rounds of Berthiaume Center’s Innovation Challenge and currently maintain work space in the Berthiaume incubator. Read more.
