CNS Faculty
The excellence of the faculty of the College of Natural Sciences is apparent at all levels. CNS faculty are accomplished in attaining competitive funding. CNS is the largest recipient of grant funding on campus, and its 400 tenure-track faculty members are awarded two-thirds of total academic research grants. Many of our senior faculty members are fellows of disciplinary technical societies, while our junior faculty have received more than half of the campus’ NSF Faculty Early Career Development Awards.
Our service extends from the creation of mentoring programs in local schools to chairing the editorial boards and review panels of professional societies, to state and national engagement.
