EQUIPMENT

People wishing to use the PHaSE EFRC equipment listed below must first receive training and permission from the Facility Director, Dr. Volodimyr Duzhko. Sometimes, you may be referred to an associate contact person whose name is given below, to get additional information from an experienced user . Training and access must be arranged in advance of first use. After training, a user will be added to the registered user list for the instrument.

Routine access to the Photovoltaic & Optical Spectroscopy Facility requires magswipe access on one's UMass ID cared, which must be arranged by request through Facility Director Dr. Volodimyr Duzhko. This does not confer after hours access through the Conte Building's security perimeter after hours (such permission must be separately requested from the Department of Polymer Science & Engineering).

It is very important that at all times the facility doors remain closed. Do not let unauthorized personnel inside. Do not prop the door open. Do not leave messes in the lab area or in the lab waste baskets. The PV Lab is not an organic chemistry or polymer synthesis lab -- do not leave or dispose of laboratory or sample wastes improperly in this lab!!
