CNS Advisory Board Member
Anna Symington '76 AS, '79 BS, '83 MS served as deputy regional director for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Waste Site Cleanup and oversaw hazardous waste-site cleanups in western Massachusetts. She also served as agency spokesperson during her long career with the DEP. Retired from her most recent position, executive director of the UMass Amherst Alumni Association, Anna currently chairs Baystate Health Foundation's Rays of Hope (ROH) and serves on several ROH advisory boards, including the Community Advisory Board and Center for Breast Cancer Research Advocacy Council. Additionally, she is piloting a volunteer elder advocacy program at Baystate Medical Center's Springfield 3 Unit. She lives in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
