The UMass Amherst Pre-Med/Pre-Health Advising Office is dedicated to helping students become competitive applicants for health professional schools.

Sophomores, juniors, seniors, and alumni, contact a pre-med/pre-health advisor as soon as you think you’re interested in a health career and at least once per semester moving forward.

First-year students, attend the group advising meetings in fall and spring semesters (advertised in the newsletter) to prepare for a career in the health professions. If you have additional questions, see the First-year Students page or come to drop-in advising with a peer advisor. See our list of peer advisors at the bottom of this page.

Peer advisor drop-in hours for the Spring 2019 semester are (tentatively):

  • Monday, 12-3pm and 3:15-4:45pm
  • Tuesday, 11:30-1:00pm
  • Wednesday, 9:30-2pm and 3pm-5pm
  • Thursday, 11:30-1:00pm and 4:30-6pm
  • Friday, 2:30pm-6pm
